Specifically, my branch of Zirkels came to New York from the town of Höntrop, part of the town of Bochum in district Wattenscheid, in the Ruhr valley of Germany. If you have a Gustav Adolph Zirkel (born very roughly 1890) or Gustav Zirkel (1903-1970) August Zirkel (b. 1910) in your family tree, from that part of Germany, I’d like to talk genealogy with you.
I am not related to the many Zirkels who have settled in Illinios, Kansas and other mid-US areas, as far as I know.
