The holidays are coming, so it’s time to order cider. I’ve been buying cider for a few years now, since I found a bottle of German sparkling cider at a wine store near my in-laws’ place. It was delicious, refreshing, fun to drink, and the low alcohol meant that I got a slight buzz without getting too sleepy. I bought that cider for a few years, until the local store stopped carrying it. They didn’t sell enough to justify stocking it, they told me.

So I looked for a new source online. I tried a few places, and finally settled on Bellwether Cidery in Trumansburg, NY. The ordering process is easy, the prices are affordable, the service is fast, and the cider is extraordinary. The Lord Scudamore is my favorite, but I like to try new ones each year. I’ll add that, while I love sparkling cider, and I love non-alcoholic apple cider, for some reason I’m not much of a fan of non-sparkling hard cider. Gotta have those bubbles.
