My sister just got a job with an elementary school (congratulations, Sister!). Part of her job is to help get the parents more involved with the school and their kids’ education.
I work as a communicator at a University. Part of my job is to help parents and alumni stay connected with the school, mostly (let’s [...]

Bay cruise

Took a sunset “photo cruise” tonight. Got a nice photo of this lighthouse. Very little editing here, this is pretty much the way it came out of the camera:
Ok, I added the seagull in Photoshop, but the rest is pretty much true to the scene.

Highland Light (Cape Cod Light), in Truro, taken during our Cape trip in August. As I get better at this technique, it becomes clear that there is no need for a photo to have an empty sky, ever.

Minot’s Ledge Light
September 14th, 2006 · 1 Comment
This lighthouse sits in Boston Harbor, off Boston’s south shore and is accessible only by boat. It’s a truly awesome piece of engineering; the base of the lighthouse is completely submerged except during low tide. Visiting the lighthouse on a harbor cruise was an stunning experience. Unfortunately, on the day of my visit the weather [...]

It’s always a rare treat when I can get them to pose together … even if Daughter does look grumpy here because I’m taking her photo.
