Son celebrated a “graduation” today, he moves up from preschool to, um, prekindergarten. The theme of the graduation was “Flag Day,” and all the kids uber-patriotically sang “It’s a Grand Old Flag” and such.

Three grandparents came from many miles away to see Daughter’s dance recital. She performed with her dance class one ballet number, one jazz, and one tap. Son reads on his own

In the past few weeks, Son’s reading skills have soared. He isn’t afraid to tackle certain books on his own (with a little help). He can read almost the entirety of “Turtle and Snake and the Christmas Tree,” most of “George Shrinks,” and a good part of “Chicka-Chicka Boom Boom” without help.
